In 2010, Ukraine to produce over 1.5 mln tonnes of soybean

In 2010, the growth of soybean sowing areas in Ukraine totaled 46% compared to 2009 results. The general soybean production in the country totaled over 1.5 mln tonnes, declared the press-cutting service of SHP Niva Ltd.

In Ukraine, the average yield index of the oilseed totaled 18.9 c/ha at matching fields, where mineral nitrogen fertilizers, chemical protectants and fungicides were used, in southern oblasts (irrigated areas) – 23.7 c/ha.

At the same time, during growing of soybean with usage of biological preparations, the oilseed yield increases by one third, and reaches the average level of 26.4 c/ha in Ukraine, and 34.6 c/ha at irrigated areas in southern oblasts of Ukraine.
